Grief is pain...It is an incredible heartache that leaves us feeling completely disconnected in a world that now feels like a stranger. This booklet discusses early grief - which can be the first entire year or more following a loss. I also have written very simple tips to help you survive the pain of early grief and a breathing exercise you can do anywhere at any time when feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or angry, that will support you through your emotions and bring you back to feeling grounded. The first year of grief we are in survival mode as our world has been changed in such a huge way, and I hope this short booklet will help you understand that your emotions and thoughts are valid, and that you aren't alone.
